14-TH ANNUAL KUNSTADT OPEN TENNIS TOURNAMENT
Has it already been fourteen years?? Time flies when you’re having fun. The Kunstadt Open Tennis Tournament is having its 14-th anniversary this August. The Kunstadt Open # 14 is scheduled for August 4 – August 8, 2010. Entry deadline is Monday August 2 at 6 p.m.
We are happy to announce that Rogers Television agreed again to be on hand for the men’s and ladies’ finals. Increasingly, our tournaments attract elite Canadian tennis players. We are looking forward to another great one. Registration fee is $ 40.00. Register at Kunstadt Sports or call (613) 831-2059 or (613) 878-9073. Every participant will receive a Yonex tennis shirt and a valuable “goody bag”. Men’s champion will receive $ 1000 and ladies’ champion $ 500. MONDAY NIGHT RIDES GAIN POPULARITY
The popularity of the Kunstadt Sports Monday night rides is growing beyond our wildest imagination. Since last year, the “Kids of Steel” have joined us. For those who don’t know, these are teen-aged members of the Bytown Storm Triathlon Team which includes three of Canada’s top junior level triathletes.
We have had as many as 50 riders join us on some nice evenings. We ride approximately 50 km around the beautiful local countryside with mild uphills and downhills. We start every Monday at 6:00 p.m. from our Kanata location as well as from our Glebe location. Everybody is welcome. We have some very accomplished, fast riders and we also have intermediate ones and beginners. Come out and join us. You will be happy you did.
